125| LAST NIGHT/DEPARTURE DAY

The last day was truly a beautiful one. I took plenty of walks throughout the property and captured many pictures and videos. Like mentioned previously, I stayed at the Excellence El Carmen All Inclusive in Punta Cana. The resort itself was beautiful in and out of the rooms. I’ll repeat myself by saying that the room was the most comfortable suite! It felt cozy and intimate. I do think that the resort itself could invest in more photo ops throughout the grounds. A lot of people don’t want to think too hard when it comes to capturing a picture that they’d deem worthy of posting on their social media accounts. And photo ops would remove that pressure. Just my two cents. Please, enjoy the remainder of the pictures from my November getaway!

That night I opted for the Japanese restaurant. The food was okay. I wished I had opted for the Mexican again lol. And they had ran out of their plant based Red Velvet cake, which I had really looked forward to. If you stay at this resort, know that if you have a butler like I did, you can message them and they can get you dessert from their dessert bar or from any of the other restaurants. I unfortunately was on a time crunch and wanted to get good seats for the evening’s theater show. It was a Cirque Du Soleil theme.

Check out day arrived and I was unable to dip in the pool or beach due to the rain. Thankfully it only rained for a few minutes. I decided to go to the buffet and have breakfast.

I always pack the night before so that way I don’t have to run around the day of or risk leaving something behind. I checked out and went to the VIP Lounge’s balcony area and read, and soaked in the views and warmth. And I am glad that I did because this Winter has been a snowy white one! I actually had a vision about this a few weeks ago. I recall opening the back door when my son was leaving to school, and I saw everything outside being covered in white. It only lasted for about three seconds. And I just knew. It was going to be a white winter.

This little guy had some big pipes. He was screeching away.

I love palm trees!

My nails needed their own moment after I realized that they matched the book!

And until next time! Don't’t ask me when there will be a next time lol. These trips come to me on a whim. But I did leave feeling fulfilled and felt like I had gotten the “solo trip” need out of my system for a hot minuto.

Thank you for allowing me to share these pictures with you. The next few posts will be picture heavy as well. Be ready for those!

124| DINNER & A TALENT SHOW

Hi! Welcome back! Let’s jump right in…

That Friday night I went to the resort’s (Excellence El Carmen Punta Cana) Indian restaurant. I am vegan and this restaurant had the most options. Im glad that I did because the food was delicious! The chef also went above and beyond by sending me extras. And the service was just as great. Quick story… While I was waiting for my food to come out I overheard the couple next to me saying how good the food had been and telling the waiter that they’re from Bangladesh and asked if the chef was Indian. To which the waiter responded with a yes. I remember thinking how the waiter should’ve seen if the chef would come out and say hello to the happy couple. The couple leaves. After I’ve eaten my food guess who comes out? The chef! He scans the room and finds me. He steps over and extends his hand and asks what I thought about the food? I of course told him it had been delicious! He then went and greeted a few more folks. Anyway, I thought that was pretty cool lol.

Here are some pictures before and during dinner:

After dinner I stopped in their dessert bar and grabbed some treats… Afterwards I watched their nightly show. It was a few of the same people from the night before showcasing other talents like singing. It was entertaining for sure. It made me wonder about their lives working for a major resort and also about their salaries. Whatever they’re getting they deserve more. Some of them work other shifts and are there for 12 hours or more. Some live very, very far from their jobs too. Someone should make a documentary on this subject lol I’m intrigued.

Next day was Saturday my last full day away. I started it off with a walk to the beach. I read, got in the water (I walked back to my chair and left my phone and went in). And enjoyed lunch by the ocean. I didn’t like that the beach umbrellas were permanently opened. More of a cabana vibe. But I wanted to be enjoy whatever time I had with the sun, since it was an overcast day.

I’ll share the remaining pictures in the next post. Thanks for checking in!

Happy 2026!
