127| HIDDEN GEMS

Wow! It’s been a little while since I did one of these posts right? At least that’s how it feels to me. I remember when these were the only thing that kept this blog going.

If you’re new here, hello and thanks for being here! Hidden Gems is a series where I post random pictures that I’ve taken and give a little context on them. Well… 99% of the time I do lol. Sometimes I feel that the pictures don’t need explaining. These tend to be random pictures that are sitting in my phone from the week or month. And me being me, I find beauty in them. Enough jibber jabbering…

  1. New coloring video is in the works and this is how I plan them out.

  2. Berry, banana, chocolate and pb protein shake, with a veggie burger and fries.

  3. This is the protein shake. The best!

  4. After the snowstorm in January.

  5. A few days ago.

  6. Shipping an order. #grateful

  7. A treat. Side note: I did a cleanse recently and my body doesn’t care for sugar now. Gonna ride with it.

  8. Starting over.

  9. Cauliflower steaks with vegan Mac and cheese. I shared the recipe on IG the other day. Sharing the picture here 😉.

As I sit here and type this, it is snowing again which is why I shared those pictures. I can’t wait to share the ones from this storm. How’s the weather where you’re at?

Stay safe and I hope you’re having a great day! And if not I hope it gets better.

XO,

Cin.

126| HEALING MY INNER CHILD

For a few years now I’ve been loving up on and healing parts of my inner childhood. Before we dive in just remember… What works for me does not mean that it will work for you because it’s something that looks different person to person. But what is healing your inner child? According to Cleveland Clinic Health Essentials “Healing your inner child is about learning how to move forward, rediscovering what you need, recapturing what you've lost and reparenting your younger self.” For some it might involve therapy, journaling, energy work, shadow work, playing outside, doing the things that you couldn’t do when young, and more!

I’ll share one of the ways I’ve healed my own. A few years ago the American Girl brand re released their Molly doll. It had been retired. It’s something that I’d always wanted when I was a young child. I was always told that the price did not justified because it was “just a doll.” Of course to me it was more than just a doll. I was the youngest and only girl out of three. My dolls meant a lot to me and I took good care of them. This made me feel unseen and unheard and ultimately made me feel smaller and I learned to not ask for what I wanted because of the price tag. It led me to miss out on a lot of school trips and experiences, like dancing ballet. Sorry, I got side tracked. But during the years I’d look forward to the catalogs that would come in the mail, and would imagine myself playing with the dolls. Fast forward and at last…I got myself my very own Molly.

This last year I connected more with my creative side. One of the ways that I did that is coloring. I brought out old coloring books, and got some new ones, and have been coloring for a bit now. During that time, I felt guided to record myself coloring. And then felt guided to edit and upload these videos on YouTube. And it’s my pleasure to share my channel with you!

It’s a passion project of mine. And even if you don’t subscribe or like any of the videos (which would be very much appreciated!) a single view would mean so so much! It’s a way that you can support me or show me love if you’ve enjoyed my blog over the years, or recently. I am planning on hosting a small giveaway when I hit my 100 followers milestone! Click on the image above and it’ll take you directly to my YouTube Channel!

I’ve been enjoying coloring, and getting into the video editing space. I am being intentional and gentle with this because I don’t ever want it to feel like a “job”.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

XO,

Cin.
