128| GIRL’S TRIP PART ONE

Holà! Happy Tuesday! Welcome back to el blog! ! Although its rainy and the sun is hiding, I still feel like it’s going to be a great day. I wish the same for you and yours.

Now, let’s jump into today’s post. Sometime in October, I receive a text message from one of my closest friends. We call her ”Cat” for short. She messaged to ask if I’m up for a little girls trip to Miami in January? And I said of course! Within days the trip was booked and paid for. My girl was not playing! It would be for her birthday and to celebrate other personal milestones. Of course I needed and wanted to be there for her. Our other close friend already lives in Florida and would meet us in Miami. She had also invited two of her childhood friends that I got the pleasure of meeting for the first time during the trip. Okay, let’s jump right in…

I wanted to travel light. And did not want to have to pack hair products, or worry about styling my hair. The water in Florida tends to be on the hard side and my hair does not like it.

I picked up Cat at her house around 1:30 AM. I drove us to the airport. A few days before the trip, Cat told me that one of her friends was not going to make it to the trip. I had a feeling that it would work out. Anyway, we get to the airport and her friend was there! She surprised us. We will call her Car for short.

There were no delays, and our flight was a smooth one. Thankful!

We arrived early in that morning. Our check in wasn’t until late afternoon. The other girls would arrive later on, so we decided to grab something to eat.

I got a mimosa and vegan pancakes.

After breakfast we walked around and then made our way to Bayfront Park. We were tired and wanted to sit and just enjoy the views. At this point Alex had already landed and we decided that this would be a good meet up point.

I love palm trees. You will see a lot of them lol.

We met up with Alex and walked around the shopping center that’s at the park, and eventually got something to eat. I didn’t get any pictures during this time, but I did get a lot of video footage. I will share that video soon.

I got a Pina colada (delicious) and a Mojito (bleh!) I got an appetizer to eat. This place was not very vegan friendly.

We arrived at the Airbnb and of course I noticed the angel numbers!

We all got ready for dinner.

Meet Alex! Alex, Cat and I worked together for a few years. We became sisters. It’s funny because we’d crossed each other’s paths for a long time. I worked for a pregnancy center for several years and Id often call their job to schedule appointments for my clients. We had just never met in person, until I interviewed there their job. It was great to put faces to the names and voices that I’d known for years!

It was a cold few nights, but this night was the coldest for me. Im glad I took clothing with long sleeves.

I enjoyed the food. The drink was perfection!

Again, most of the footage that I have from this day are in video format. But it was a really, really fun day, and we all clicked like long time friends.

I’ll share more in the next one.

125| LAST NIGHT/DEPARTURE DAY

The last day was truly a beautiful one. I took plenty of walks throughout the property and captured many pictures and videos. Like mentioned previously, I stayed at the Excellence El Carmen All Inclusive in Punta Cana. The resort itself was beautiful in and out of the rooms. I’ll repeat myself by saying that the room was the most comfortable suite! It felt cozy and intimate. I do think that the resort itself could invest in more photo ops throughout the grounds. A lot of people don’t want to think too hard when it comes to capturing a picture that they’d deem worthy of posting on their social media accounts. And photo ops would remove that pressure. Just my two cents. Please, enjoy the remainder of the pictures from my November getaway!

That night I opted for the Japanese restaurant. The food was okay. I wished I had opted for the Mexican again lol. And they had ran out of their plant based Red Velvet cake, which I had really looked forward to. If you stay at this resort, know that if you have a butler like I did, you can message them and they can get you dessert from their dessert bar or from any of the other restaurants. I unfortunately was on a time crunch and wanted to get good seats for the evening’s theater show. It was a Cirque Du Soleil theme.

Check out day arrived and I was unable to dip in the pool or beach due to the rain. Thankfully it only rained for a few minutes. I decided to go to the buffet and have breakfast.

I always pack the night before so that way I don’t have to run around the day of or risk leaving something behind. I checked out and went to the VIP Lounge’s balcony area and read, and soaked in the views and warmth. And I am glad that I did because this Winter has been a snowy white one! I actually had a vision about this a few weeks ago. I recall opening the back door when my son was leaving to school, and I saw everything outside being covered in white. It only lasted for about three seconds. And I just knew. It was going to be a white winter.

This little guy had some big pipes. He was screeching away.

I love palm trees!

My nails needed their own moment after I realized that they matched the book!

And until next time! Don't’t ask me when there will be a next time lol. These trips come to me on a whim. But I did leave feeling fulfilled and felt like I had gotten the “solo trip” need out of my system for a hot minuto.

Thank you for allowing me to share these pictures with you. The next few posts will be picture heavy as well. Be ready for those!
