38| HIDDEN GEMS

This past week was filled with back to school, and getting back into the swing of things. A* was away the last week of August. He was in LI spending time with my brother and his wife and her side of the family. Our boy had a lot of fun and looks forward to spending another week with them next year.

I celebrated my Birthday by getting my hair done and dolling myself up and going to a nice dinner date with my Mister.

August 2022 was life changing for me. One day I’ll be able to look back and share. I’ll be sure to continue to make the best of the remainder of this Season. And yes, the pumpkin lattes may have returned—- it’s still Summer alright?! Haha! Enjoy these gems from my week. Y’all got a twofer post this week! 😉

  1. My sweet sour patch nephew. We celebrated his birthday the day after mine. And on the Sunday before Labor Day, his parents had a small cook out with water games for the kids. We all enjoyed ourselves a lot. Food for the soul.

  2. My green babies. Well, some of them.

  3. Hubs and I after stopping by The Bagel Bar and me enjoying their smoothie—Sandy.

  4. Flowers from my garden in our bathroom.

  5. Me on the way to my Birthday dinner at Say Cheese.

  6. My birthday roses courtesy of my hubs.

  7. Home grown tomatoes. Courtesy of our neighbor.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a great week!

37| HIDDEN GEMS

I’ve been trying something new. I’ve been taking a picture a day of something, anything in my day that I wouldn’t usually give the spotlight to. I’d probably only share it on my IG stories* But decided to reserve these for here. Anyway, these are just a few hidden gems (random things, moments that you capture that may seem little to others but bring you joy) of my every day life.

  1. Our new little tenant.

  2. A close up.

  3. My new low maintenance plant.

  4. Rosie and Mr. Sun

  5. One of the comfiest sandals.

  6. Family.

Looking back at these put a big smile on my face. It also serves as a great reminder that yes, the big important stuff does deserve our attention. But, if we take the time to look around and soak in the little gems in our days, it can help ground us, and help keep us in a state of gratitude. Which then helps us receive more little gems to be thankful for!

What are some of the hidden gems in your day?
